The Ohio Department Of Natural Resources plans to populate Lake Glacier with fish Thursday morning.

The Division of Wildlife is going to stock Lake Glacier with 2500 catchable size rainbow trout. It's something they do every spring.

Even though the lakes are open now, they were closed for months last year because of E coli.

Since we've had a lot of rain recently is there an E coli concern now?

Park Director, Aaron Young says the fish are safe to eat.

"The health department has issued their statement about not having concerns about fishing there or consuming the fish. I think it's important for park users. And fisherman are park users. According to our rules they are allowed to fish at Lake Glacier so this allows us to provide a recreational opportunity to park visitors at no cost to them," says Young.

Anglers will still have to pay for a fishing license which is required to legally fish in the park.

People will also be limited to five fish a day.

Young estimates all of the stocked fish will be fished out within three weeks.
