Warren boxer wins first match after fatal fight
His first time back in the ring after a fatal fight, Anthony "Tiger" Taylor wasn't just back he was back to win.
"Once I crossed the ropes all of that is behind me. My mind is clear," said boxer Anthony Taylor.
In December,Taylor's opponent collapsed and later died from a punch he threw.
He says after encouragement from his opponent's family, he forgave himself and decided to box again.
"I just think he's courageous you know what I mean," said spectator Bernard C. Walber Jr.
And Taylor didn't go back into the ring alone, he went in with support from Ray 'boom boom' Mancini who also killed a man in the ring.
"You don't say you're gonna come back for another fight until you are ready for another fight mentally you say your prayers you're at peace with it. you move on some guys can't some guys take longer than usual," said Mancini.
Taylor says he wasn't sure if he could fight in same place, same ring, but thanks his trainer Jack Loew and others for working with him the past few months.
He says he went in with nerves, and walked out feeling victorious with a win.
The 113 lb boxer says, with this fight in the books he plans to keep his gloves on for good.
