People can start booking their flights from the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport to Chicago beginning in April.
The airport will begin offering daily direct flights to the windy city starting May 30. The airport will begin with 10 weekly flights, one to two a day, and work up to three daily round trip flights. Travelers can book their entire trip through most major travel websites.
Aviation Director Dan Dickten says this is the first time in 14 years that the airport will offer daily flights.
Aerodynamics, Inc. based in Atlanta will offer daily round trip flights between the YNG and ORD using a new airline which will be announced later on.
YNG already provides flights to Orlando, St. Petersburg-Clearwater and Fort Meyers in Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The airport has already began fundraising to offer more destinations in the future.
