Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport passengers taking a flight to Florida Sunday morning were delayed from the building Sunday morning after security saw a suspicious item inside a passenger's luggage.

The Aviation Director of the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, Dan Dickten, says security was unable to identify an object item in a passenger's luggage that was going through the TSA check area.  Security saw a package wrapped in wires and believed that the item could be a bomb.

Officials have cleared the passenger and determined that the item in the luggage was not a threat to anyone. The item has been identified as packaged deer meat.

Dickten told 21 News that the airport was following protocol to have the building evacuated and calling out the Youngstown Bomb Squad.

The airport has returned to full operations and passengers have boarded their flight.
