Campbell Police seize almost $20k in traffic stop

A traffic stop for a broken headlight led Campbell Police to the discovery of narcotics, a weapon and $19,652 in cash.
Officers who pulled the car over on Wilson Avenue on Thursday noticed that the passenger in the car was wearing GPS ankle bracelet.
Upon questioning, Timothy Capps, 33, of Beaver Falls, Pa., admitted he was supposed to be on house arrest and that was also carrying a knife.
With the help of a drug sniffing dog, police also found that Capps was carrying ten and a half Hydrocodone pills and $200 in currency.
Police say the driver of the car, Niki Datri, 37, of Freedom, Pa., was carrying a handgun and $9,452.
A search of the vehicle yielded the discovery of an additional $10,000 in cash.
Capps is charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Datri is charged with improperly handing a weapon in a motor vehicle and the headlight violation.
Both men were arraigned in Campbell Municipal Court.
Capps has a pre-trial on Friday, and Datri has a pre-trial set for March 29. Datri is out of jail on bond.
