Distracted driving may be the reason behind a traffic accident that sent a car up a utility pole cable on Youngstown's west side.
Police arrived on Steel Street near Oakwood Avenue just before 1:30 p.m. Thursday where they found a car which was balancing on a guy wire.
Amber Johnson of Youngstown tells 21 News the crash happened as she was driving along Steel Street with her toddler in the back seat.
Johnson says she reached into the back seat to give her son a cookie and must have turned the steering wheel, sending the car up the pole's support cable.
The driver says she jumped out of the car and a passerby helped her get the child from the back seat.
No one was injured.
Part of the road was shut down during the investigation.
