The Austintown Falcons will be playing in a new field this year. The grass will remain the same, but the stadium will have a new name.

The Austintown Local School District announced Monday that the School Board had reached a long-term partnership with Greenwood Chevrolet for the naming rights of the Austintown Fitch High School Falcon Stadium.

Effective today the stadium will be called the Greenwood Chevrolet Austintown Falcon Stadium.

The ten year agreement will grant Greenwood Chevrolet the naming rights to the stadium for the price of $330,000.

Superintendent Vincent Colaluca says this is the latest in a partnership that benefits the district and the company.

"Greenwood Chevrolet has a long standing relationship with the Austintown Local Schools and this new partnership is further evidence of their valued commitment to the district and the Austintown community," said Colaluca, Superintendent.

Greenwood Chevrolet is an Austintown, Ohio based Chevrolet dealership serving all of northeast Ohio.

The family owned dealership is one of the longest standing dealerships in Mahoning County and one of the largest dealerships in the nation.  Greenwood Chevy is the largest Chevrolet dealer in the state of Ohio since 2013.

"It's a privilege to partner with Austintown Local Schools," said Greenwood Chevrolet Owner, Greg Greenwood. "It's our way of making a commitment to the community we serve and a decision we make from the heart."
