2016 Cruze maintains five star crash ratings

The redesigned model of the Chevy Cruze that will come off the assembly line in Lordstown is keeping the same overall five out of five star crash ratings as the current 2015 model.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Adminstration website, safercar.gov, the 2016 Cruze will have five star safety ratings for frontal air bags for the driver, and side air bags for the driver and rear seat passengers.
The air bag for the front seat passenger received a four star rating following crash tests.
Five star ratings were also given for frontal and side crashes, and four stars for a rollover accident.
The ratings are unchanged from the 2015 model.
Since General Motors launched the Lordstown made Cruze in 2008, it has become one of Chevrolet's best selling cars.
