Youngstown police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting that left one man dead.

Police say 28-year-old Xavier Vega was found outside of a home on Jackson Street. The man believed to be in his twenties suffered at least one gunshot wound.

Police spent the evening examining evidence at the scene. Including several shell casings and a vehicle that were in the drive-way.

“He was found near the vehicle, but I don't know if he just got out or how he was tied to the vehicle,”said Youngstown Police Lt. Doug Bobovnyik.
