Girard police are distributing surveillance photos of a suspected bank robber.

Police say they received a 9-1-1 call shortly after 10:30 a.m. Monday that the suspect had robbed the Farmer's National Bank on State Street.

Reports indicate a bank teller told police a man entered the bank, and handed her a note.

The suspect then allegedly whispered to the teller not to give him the "bait money" and demanded loose 20, 50, and 100 dollar bills.

The note handed to the teller said the suspect had a gun, however the teller reported that she did not see a gun.

The suspect then ran from the scene through the parking lot of the building.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 30-40 years old, approximately 5'6"-5'9", medium build. The suspect was last seen wearing black pants, a black zip up hoodie, and a black hat which had something hanging from the sides, blocking his face.

Police ask that anyone with information contact the Girard Police Department at 330-545-0211.
