The Cafaro Foundation announced on Tuesday that it is making a $100,000 donation to the United Way of Trumbull County.

The United Way supports the work of 22 charities and social organizations in the county, including the American Red Cross, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Boy Scouts.

Earlier this month, the United Way of Trumbull County announced that it had exceeded its 2014 campaign goal of $900,000.

United Way of Trumbull County President, Ginny Pasha, President, expressed gratitude for the donation.

“United Way of Trumbull County has been serving Trumbull County for 93 years and the Cafaro Company has been an important part of the work being done in Trumbull County for 66 years and counting.  Both of us have a long term commitment to this community," said Pasha.

According to a news release from the Cafaro Company, the Cafaro Foundation has donated more than $53,000 to United Way annual campaigns.

The Cafaro Foundation was established by the Cafaro family in memory of William M. Cafaro, the founder of the real estate development and management company that bears his name.
