Police are hoping someone on Facebook can help identify two men who tried to break into a coin machine at a township business early Monday.
St. Clair Township Detective Sgt. Brian McKenzie posted surveillance images that showed two men getting out of a dark colored car behind the West Wind Auto Bath on St. Clair Avenue at around 5:30 a.m.
One of the men lifted the hood of the car to make it appear they were having engine trouble, while the other used a pry bar to try to open the change machine.
Detective McKenzie tells 21 News that the owner of the business recently installed an alarm on the machine. When the alarm went off, the two suspects jumped back into their car and drove away.
The coin machine was damaged, but the pair failed to get away with any cash.
Police are asking anyone with information about the suspects to contact the St. Clair Township Police at 330-386-3585.
