Two people who allegedly burned down a historic home in Beaver township are also accused of damaging a valley building that has gained an iconic status in the Valley.

Alexis Little of Youngstown and Brian McKinney of Boardman, both 20 years old, have already been indicted on arson charges for allegedly starting a fire on October 21 that burned down a home built for Harvey S. Firestone's sister in 1828. Harvey Firestone was the founder of the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company.

On Thursday the Mahoning County Grand Jury handed up a second indictment, charging the two with vandalism.

Mill Creek Park police believe it was Little and McKinney who vandalized offices and scrawled graffiti in the restrooms at the historic Lanterman's Mill on October 30.

Police say the damage, which the indictment says amounted to between $1,000 and $7,500, has already been cleaned up.

Lanterman's Mill, which was built in 1845-46 and restored in 1982-85, has become one of Mahoning County's most historic landmarks.

The two will be arraigned on the additional charges in the coming weeks.
