It didn't take long for a jury to convict a Youngstown man accused of shooting at Hubbard police officers.

After 90 minutes of deliberations on Friday, a jury in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court found 26-year-old Jeffrey Irby guilty of six charges, including felonious assault.

In October, Irby was pulled over by police for a traffic stop. A foot chase ensued, and Irby fired several shots at an officer. None of the officers were hit by the gunfire.

Irby is scheduled to be sentenced on January 27. He could face more than 15 years in prison

Records from the Indiana Department of Correction show that Irby was released from a prison last February.

Irby had been locked up since September 2009 when he was sentenced for a burglary in Fort Wayne.

In 2008, Irby was sentenced to a one and a half year prison term for cocaine possession and resisting arrest.

A few months before that, Irby was sentenced to thirty days in jail for filing a false report.

In 2006, when Irby was just 18-years-old, Irby was sentenced to 90 days in jail on charges of invasion of privacy and battery.

Late last year, a judge in Indiana issued a warrant for Irby's arrest after he failed to appear in court for a hearing on a charge of disorderly conduct.
