Boardman Police ask public to help identify bank robbery suspect
Police are hoping the public can help them identify a suspect wanted for robbing the Huntington Bank on Youngstown-Poland Road Wednesday morning.
Investigators tell 21 News that shortly before 10 a.m.,a man handed the teller a note demanding money and then walked out the door. No weapon was seen and no one was hurt.
Police say that no one saw the suspect get into a vehicle, so a K9 tracking dog was was brought in to search the area. However the search was not successful.
Surveillance photos circulated by police show a heavy set white male with a mustache, approximately 6 foot, two inches tall. At the time of the robbery he was wearing dark glasses, a curly wig and a black hooded shirt with a winged Smith Transport symbol emblazoned on the back.
Police ask anyone having information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect to call them at 330-726-4144.
The FBI is also investigating.
