A Mahoning County jail inmate will be scheduled to make an appearance in court to answer three criminal charges filed after authorities say he attacked a nurse at the lockup.
The Mahoning County Grand Jury indicted Deron Williams on three felony assault counts on Friday.
Authorities say that the 32-year-old Youngstown man attacked Joyce O'Hara as she was making her rounds inside the jail the day after Thanksgiving.
A deputy who came to the aid of the nurse was also attacked during the scuffle.
O'Hara was treated for her injuries at Northside Hospital.
