The Warren City School District Board of Education has elected it's new superintendent.

At a meeting on Friday the Board of Education voted to hire Steven Chiaro, the only internal applicant for the position.

Chiaro will fill the vacancy left by current superintendent Michael Notar who submitted his resignation last month.  Notar will take over Aug. 1 as superintendent of Conneaut Area City Schools.

Warren board president Andre Coleman said Chiaro is a current administrator and longtime district employee. Chiaro will begin his duties as superintendent on August 1st.
