Northside Medical Center has appointed Trent Crable as Chief Executive Officer, effective August 4. Crable has 25 years of healthcare management experience managing complex operations at academic and community hospitals.

Most recently, Crable served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Brooklyn Hospital Center, a 426-bed teaching hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

“Trent has an established commitment to enhancing quality measures and the patient experience as well as a solid track record for making hospitals places where physicians and employees enjoy coming to work,” said Sandy Kessler, Chairman, Northside Medical Center Board of Trustees.

Previously, Crable was CEO of George Washington University Hospital and Associate Executive Director at the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital.

He received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he later served as Vice President of Professional Services of VCU’s Health System.
