The Youngstown Warren Regional Airport is on track for a record breaking year.

Western Reserve Port Authority Director of Aviation, Dan Dickten, predicts more than 125,000 passengers will fly in-and-out of the airport this year. Last month alone, the airport accommodated more than 18,000 passengers, making for a record breaking month.

"It's additional flights that we have, Allegiant has added, many more flights to the schedule. There is many more flights in the future scheduled as well," said Dickten.

Airport officials want to continue the upward trend and hope to one day provide daily air service.
