YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Thirteen people received an honor many of them have been dreaming about their entire life.
Mahoning County's Probate Court held a naturalization ceremony, where 13 people took a vow of citizenship.
The group represented nine different countries, including Africa, Ecuador and Egypt.
Sabah Husseinan is living the American dream as a business owner in Niles. "I love America so much and all the people here," Husseinan said.
"It's really a great feeling to become a U.S. citizen. So I'm really very happy and this is a special day in my life," said Ali Alabadi.
Mahoning County Probate Judge Mark Belinky presides over the citizenship ceremonies and says the group has such hope and excitement about becoming American citizens, something many of us take for granted.
