SALEM, Ohio - Just after 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Damascus fire department rushed to a house on 13655 Diagonal Rd. where a gas well exploded behind the home.

The homeowner, William Slanker, said he does not know what happened. The fire department is currently investigating the scene now and reported there was smoke but no fire.
