YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Appellate judge candidate Mark Hanni has been ordered to stop violating judicial campaign rules.
The Mahoning County Bar Associations Campaign Ethics Committee ordered Hanni to stop publicly endorsing other candidates and stop making speeches on behalf of a political party.
Hanni's political opponent, Judge Mary DeGenaro, filed the complaint against Hanni who promised to decide cases based on a religious perspective.
Attorney Hanni did not appear for his hearing before the bar associations ethics committee.
Hanni says this is a desperate move by a desperate Republican candidate who knows she is losing the race.
