NILES, Ohio - A Trumbull County man already accused of raping two young girls faces new charges; 26 counts of child pornography.

Charles Bland has been in jail since January for the alleged rape of two girls, one as young as five-years-old. The girls lived in the same Weathersfield Township trailer park as Bland.

Thursday morning Bland was back in court after his home computer was seized and at least 100 pornographic images and videos of children were found on the computer. Those images included at least four children from his neighborhood.

In a court document they're described as "being forced to engage in virtually every type of sex act known to man."

That document also explains how Bland would become friends with his victims luring them into his home, grooming them by engaging in science experiments and different educational activities and even reading the Bible.

"He would go around saying he was a doctor," recalled Park Manager Jeremy Thibideau. "He has a bunch of different scientific experiment type things he was running in there; he would bring in the kids to show them these things and would continue on from there."

Once Bland gained the trust of his victims, he would tell them "he loved them and that he was teaching them things they needed to know," according to court documents.

A woman who once lived in the trailer park is still haunted by the details, even moving out because of it.

"With the situation that had happened I got real cautious with my kids," said former park Resident Diane Wagner. "I wouldn't let them go outside anymore without an adult being around."

Bland pleaded not guilty. He is scheduled to be back in court next week.

Prosecutors are asking the court to combine both the rape charges and child pornography charges into one trial.
