1 dead in New Castle car crash

NEW CASTLE, Pennsylvania - A violent, one-vehicle crash claims a life in Lawrence County.
Authorities said it happened Sunday morning on route 168 and Benedict Lane in New Beaver Borough.
A pick-up truck crashed into a utility support pole shearing the pole off.
The impact was so severe it tore the roof over the cab of the truck.
A passenger, 22-year-old Sean Christopher O'Hara, was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been ejected on impact.
The driver, 19-year-old Ryan David O'Hara from Beaver Falls, was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Pittsburgh. There's no word on his condition.
It took nearly six hours for emergency crews to clear the wreckage from the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
