100-year-old train station damaged during CSX derailment

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio - A 100-year-old railroad tower damaged in Monday's Newton Falls train derailment was torn down on Wednesday.   The building is a former train station.

There is still no word on the exact cause of the derailment.  

CSX, the company that owns the freight cars, is issuing reimbursement checks to local residents for expenses associated with their evacuation.
