YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Rosetta Stone is closing up shop.

Owners of the downtown Youngstown restaurant are blaming the economy, but they say the closure may be temporary.

Still, employees tell 21 News they were blind-sided by the decision to close. And some say they're concerned they won't get their paychecks on Friday.

We asked co-owner Chuck Sop if the employees would get paid and he said, "We're going to see how this whole thing plays out. Because there's a lot of discussion that needs to happen."

In May, we reported that Rosetta Stone was on the market for 2.9 million dollars. At that time, there were more than 8-thousand dollars of back taxes due on the property.
