UPDATED: Deadly weekend for Valley motorcyclists

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- Motorcycle accidents have claimed  three lives in the Valley over the weekend.

David Crook, 55,  was taken to the hospital following a crash just before 11 p.m. Sunday at Tod and Fifth Avenue on Youngstown's north side.

Crook is listed in critical condition.

He was not wearing a helmet.

A second accident on Sunday night left a man dead just before midnight in the southbound lane of Interstate 680 in Youngstown near the Market Street exit.

The coroner was called to the scene after the driver reportedly was thrown from the motorcycle after losing control.

Police have not released his identity, but said he was a 22-year-old male from the west side of Youngstown.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

A Warren man is dead following a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon.  

Police said 30-year-old Michael Bufano was traveling east on King Graves Road shortly before 4:30 p.m. Saturday near Celestial Drive when he failed to make a left turn.

He then drove his motorcycle off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and was thrown from his bike.  He was not wearing a helmet at the time.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol in Warren is investigating the crash.

In Boardman, a motorcyclist was killed outside of Regal Cinemas on Saturday afternoon.

A memorial of flowers was set up Sunday on South Avenue in Boardman to remember 21-year-old Nicholas Stubler of Poland.

Police say he was riding his motorcycle down South Avenue when he collided with a car pulling out of the theater parking lot.

State troopers say Stubler was traveling at speeds of 70 to 80 miles per hour.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to an area hospital and later released.

Authorities say charges are pending in the accident.

21 News Reporter Janet Rogers will have a report on motorcycle safety Monday on 21 News 6 p.m., including ways to avoid danger to motorcyclists and others.
