A McDonald man is behind bars after police say he punched his girlfriend in the mouth multiple times while he was holding a child.

According to a police report from Weathersfield Township PD, police were called to a home on the 2800 Block of Youngstown Avenue just after 11 p.m. Monday for a domestic violence call.

Police spoke to the victim who was holding her daughter. Police say the child had dried blood on the back of her onesie, as well as the the back of her head. Police say this blood was not of the child, but the victim.

The victim told police that she and her boyfriend, identified as 35-year-old John Seaquist were arguing about the internet and social media with Seaquist allegedly accusing the victim of hiding things from him.

Police say during the argument, Seaquist "leaned over out of nowhere" and punched her in the mouth twice. Police say Seaquist was holding the victim's daughter at the time.

The victim told police Seaquist left the house to go to his dad's Liberty Township home following the alleged assault. He was found there and taken into custody by Liberty Township PD, who transferred him back to Weathersfield.

A court employee tells 21 News Seaquist was arraigned Tuesday morning on a charge of felonious assault and a misdemeanor charge of endangering children. His bond was set at $250,000 and temporary protection order was also issued.

Seaquist is due back in court the morning of Wednesday, April 2 for a pretrial hearing.

21 News has reached out to Seaquist's attorney for comment, but we have not heard back yet.
