Several Valley organizations have received grant funds to fight the Opioid epidemic in the Mahoning Valley.

The funding comes from grants from the One Ohio Foundation that were distributed to several organizations across several different regions in Ohio.

One Ohio says due to the overwhelming amount of grant applications received, it was not able to fund all the applications it received in the first grant cycle.

"Though we know funding will always be limited, we are incredibly grateful to all applicants for bringing their ideas forward, and we look forward to continuing our work to support evidence-based programs and services in the future," a statement from One Health Ohio reads.
