If you've noticed the absence of some trees on Route 46 in Austintown near the Association School Employees Credit Union, your eyes are not deceiving you.

ASECU Senior Manager of Operations Andrew Nemergut confirmed with 21 News he ordered for several trees to be removed from a parcel of land at the corner of Route 46 and New road just behind the credit union.

However, Nemergut says this is not for any sort of expansion or addition to the credit union, but simply to give the property a "facelift" and more curb appeal.

Nemergut says the goal of the tree removal was to clean up the property to make the building more visible to drivers in the road.
