Columbiana and Mahoning counties firefighters are battling a blaze at a business near East Palestine.

A passerby told a dispatcher that flames could be seen at Martins Auto Body on Route 14 in Unity Township just after 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Other fire departments were called when flames could be seen coming through the roof of the body shop, which is heavily damaged.

Route 14 was shut down at the fire scene for more than three hours north of East Palestine between State Route 165 and the state line. The highway was reopened shortly before 6 a.m.
