A 12-year-old boy is dead and three more people are in stable condition after a multi-vehicle crash in Youngstown Friday morning.

21 News crews on scene have learned that the accident involved two cars at the intersection of Juanita and Alameda Avenue with at least one person being trapped for an unknown period of time.

Police did not identify the child victim, but say that the crash occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. Friday.  A 30-year-old is listed in a police news release as a "suspect" but does not elaborate on whether or not anyone is expected to face charges. 

The boy was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The remaining three victims are still in the hospital in stable condition. The ages of the other victims were not released.

21 News crews observed vehicle debris in the sidewalk as well as caution tape blocking the roadway.

Police did not say what caused the accident. The crash is currently under investigation.
