Several departments aided in the search for the driver of a car that ended up in Shenango River Lake.

The incident happened around midnight Friday in Sharpsville when a vehicle plunged into the lake near the boat ramp off of Kelly Road.

The vehicle was eventually pulled out of the lake but the driver was not inside.

Officials were actively searching for the driver of that vehicle Saturday afternoon with divers, boats and cadaver dogs.

The man's body was removed from the lake around 5:45 p.m.

Officials identified the deceased male as 38-year-old Daniel Carr of Sharon.

According to the release, the deputy coroner ruled Carr's cause of death as accidental drowning.
