Saturday afternoon, a crowd gathered at Mill Creek Park to remember a former Valley musician and artist. Douglas Pearson passed away in April of 2021.

For 50 years, he was part of WFMJ's Music on the Plaza back in the 1990s.

Pearson and his wife Tracey had a jazz duet called 'Black Tie Optional' for 26 years.

Dozens attended the event for the late musician at the Slippery Rock Pavilion, to celebrate his life and legacy.
