More than half-a-dozen fire departments were called out just before sunrise Monday to battle flames at a barn that is burning in northern Trumbull County.

Trumbull dispatch received calls just after 6 a.m. about a barn on fire along the 4700 block of Sodom Hutchings Road, just south of Bradley Brownley Road.

One of the callers reported that the barn was "really burning." Another caller told dispatchers that the horses had been removed from the barn.

Despite efforts from numerous fire departments, the barn was destroyed.

There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
