Crews were busy in Niles overnight battling a house fire.

The home on Peffer Avenue went up in flames just before midnight on Saturday.

Officials say the fire caused the second floor to collapse. They let that floor burn since they couldn't send anyone in for safety reasons.

We're told no one was home at the time of the fire.

Fire officials say the Red Cross was called out to assist.

The family has been displaced from the home.

The investigation is ongoing.
