Winds ripped a portion of the roof off the Hippodrome building in Warren Tuesday afternoon.

Nick Liakaris, the co-owner of the banquet center, said a section of roof covering the back stairway blew off.

According to Liakaris, no events were going on at the time, and they have a crew working to fix the roof.

There were no reports of any injuries and all events will go on as planned, Liakaris said.

There was widespread damage throughout the downtown Warren area on Tuesday. Tents and trees were all knocked down in the Courthouse Square area, and the front window of the Trumbull Art Galley was blown out.
