A local businessman has donated professional fireworks to Washington's biggest firework display in history.

Valley businessman Bruce Zoldan, owner of Phantom Fireworks, combined with New York's Fireworks by Grucci donated $750,000 to the Department of the Interior.

The donation will benefit the capitol's 'Salute to America' celebration that was envisioned by President Donald Trump.

The display traditionally lasts around 20 minutes but will exceed that time this year.

Zoldan told 21 News that the display is around a mile long and will take place near the Lincoln Memorial.

The display is expected to be larger than 1976's 200 year anniversary celebration.
