One woman was arrested early Tuesday after Youngstown Police say she chased a police cruiser in her car and then brought marijuana hidden in a body cavity into the county jail.

When officers responded to a call in the 3100 block of Glenwood Avenue near Mill Creek Park, a man told them that he was trying to go home but the female suspect was refusing to let him leave.

A police report states that every time the man attempted to leave, 32-year-old Melissa Robinson would allegedly get in the way, scream, and threaten him.

As police were preparing to take the man to his residence, officers say Robinson allegedly got in her car and started driving toward the police cruiser acting as if she was going to hit the vehicle.

The report states that Robinson pealed out of her driveway to chase the cruiser.

When police arrested Robinson, they say she had a strong smell of marijuana.

The report states that when Robinson was taken to the county jail, deputies found a small bag of marijuana stuffed in a body cavity.

Robinson faces charges for obstructing official business and illegal conveyance of drugs onto grounds of a detention facility.

Court records show Robinson is set to be arraigned Wednesday on both charges.
