Police in Columbiana County are trying to find out how the body of a 54-year-old man ended up at the end of a driveway of a St. Clair Township home.
Detective Sgt. Scott Mick tells 21 News a neighbor found the body along Weber Lane at around 3:30 am Monday.
Investigators have not released the name of the man who Mick says is formerly from West Virginia, but recently moved to Wellsville.
The victim was not dressed for winter conditions. He was clad only in a tee shirt, jeans, and socks. His shoes were found in the area.
Mick says there are signs of injury on the body, but the Columbiana County Coroner has sent the body to Cleveland where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Police have not ruled out the possibility that the man died elsewhere and someone moved his body to Weber Lane.
Det. Sgt. Mick says he'll be interviewing witnesses, some of whom claim to have seen the victim walking in the area.
Mick is asking anyone with information about what may have happened to call him, or Detective Greg Smith at 330-386-3585.
