UPDATE: Power restored to Southern Park Mall in Boardman
The Southern Park Mall will be closed until 12:00 p.m. Saturday due to a power outage. According to the mall's website, the power outage was caused by an Ohio Edison power outage. The Southern Park Mall is open after being closed temporarily due to a power outage Saturday.
Power was partially restored to parts of the mall and surrounding area at around 6:30 a.m. and fully restored to the mall around 12:00 p.m.
According to Ohio Edison, the outage was caused by equipment failure and affected 111 customers in total, including the mall.
