A Trumbull County woman has been sentenced after being convicted of injuring her infant children.
Judge Andrew Logan on Tuesday sentenced 21-year-old Harley Warner to four years in prison.
Warner pleaded guilty in November to five counts of child endangering and four counts of felonious assault.
The indictment detailed that Warner "recklessly abused" the children, causing "serious physical harm" to them on separate occasions from March of last year until June.
Warner is the mother of Alicia and Tatyana Wento, who were taken to Akron Children's Hospital in July when they were seven months old.
Trumbull County Children Services began investigating after learning that the infants had been in and out of hospitals several times, including St. Joseph Hospital in Warren.
A police report filed by Warren police described the injuries as apparent broken bones, possible internal injuries, and a severe laceration.
