Former Trumbull County Commissioner James Tsagaris filed a police report with the Warren city police that there was a 14k gold diamond bracelet stolen from his car in a McDonald's parking lot.

According to the report, Tsagaris left the bracelet in the car while he walked into the restaurant. When Tsagaris returned to his vehicle the bracelet was missing.

In 2009, Tsagaris pleaded guilty to two counts of honest-services mail fraud when he received a loan of $36,551 from a local businessman.

Prosecutors said Tsagaris accepted the $36,551 loan and then continued to support the individual's proposals to do business in the county.

Tsagaris was sentenced to 12 months home confinement for the crime, but when he violated the terms of his probation multiple times, he was then sentenced to nine months in federal prison.
