The memorial includes a candle, flowers and several plush toys that were left on the sidewalk.
Several more items have been added throughout the day.
Troopers said a coroner's investigators reported that Isaiah Issa died at 3 a.m. Monday at Akron Children's Hospital.
Investigators said the child ran into the road while chasing his dog on State Route 169 (Robbins Avenue) near Higley Avenue around 6:20 p.m. on Sunday.
The road was closed down for two hours while the investigation was being conducted.
No charges have been filed as of yet and the driver was not injured.
