Kinsman postal worker accused of stealing cash, gift cards from Sharpsville letter

A federal grand jury has indicted 43-year-old Nicole Wade on one count of theft by mail by a postal employee.
According to the indictment, Wade took two $20 bills and four gift cards that were contained in two greeting cards that were supposed to be delivered to someone in Sharpsville identified by authorities by the initials “AQ”.
Investigators say when the alleged theft occurred on January 7, 2016, Wade was working as a Rural Carrier Associate for the United States Postal Service.
The Postal Service says Rural Carrier Associates a hired part-time, and work when regular carriers have scheduled days off or vacation days.
If convicted, Wade faces a maximum total sentence of up to five years in prison, a fine of $250,000 or both.
Wade has been summoned to answer the charge on August 22 before a magistrate in U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh.
