Authorities are piecing together what happened after a body was found inside a home on Youngstown's south side Tuesday. 

Officials identified the body as a 32-year-old man who lived by himself, but a name has not been released. 

Officials say they were called to the home in the 800 block of Woodford Avenue just before noon after family members, who had not heard from the man in a couple of days, went to check on him.

Officials told 21 News a fire started inside the home's kitchen and the windows apparently sealed the smoke inside.

Authorities were wiping each other off with alcohol cloths.

They said the fire put itself out inside the home.

Authorities are waiting for the coroner's report to determine how the man died. Youngstown detectives are investigating.
