A stop for a minor traffic violation led Youngstown Police to suspected cocaine and heroin hidden inside a hairbrush.

Officers say they pulled over an SUV Tuesday night after they say the driver failed to switch on his turn signal at Judson Avenue and Southern Boulevard.

Police say after the driver, 32-year-old Rodrick Jackson of Youngstown admitted to them that he didn't have a valid driver's license, they searched the SUV.

According to a police report, an officer found a hairbrush with a false bottom.

After removing the head of the brush, police say they discovered two clear baggies, one containing suspected heroin and the other containing suspected cocaine.

Jackson was booked into the county jail on charges of possessing a controlled substance, failure to use a traffic control device and driving under suspension.
