Gas leak plugged at McKinley Heights intersection
Police have opened the intersection of Route 422 and Robbins Avenue to traffic while crews work to cap a natural gas leak. A gas line was ruptured by a FirstEnergy crew installing a utility pole in the area shortly after 10:30 am Monday. As of 12:50 pm the gas had been shut off and the intersection was open to traffic again.

Police have opened the intersection of Route 422 and Robbins Avenue to traffic while crews work to cap a natural gas leak.
A gas line was ruptured by a FirstEnergy crew installing a utility pole in the area shortly after 10:30 am Monday.
As of 12:50 pm the gas had been shut off and the intersection was open to traffic again.
The township fire chief tells 21 News none of the area businesses had to be evacuated.
