Investigators say the man suspected of stuffing a woman's body in a freezer had the keys to the freezer when he was arrested.

Youngstown Prosecutor Dana Lantz revealed in Youngstown Municipal Court on Monday that 31-year-old Arturo Novoa denied knowing anything about the body found inside a freezer being kept at a home in Campbell.

Bond for Novoa and his alleged accomplice, 34-year-old Katrina Layton has been set at $1 million.

Both are charged with abuse of a corpse.

Although a coroner's ruling is pending on a positive identification and cause of death, Lantz indicated in court that authorities believe that the body is that of Shannon Graves.

The 28-year-old Graves was reported missing in late June by family members who say she hadn't been seen since Christmas.

Prosecutor Lantz told the judge that Layton essentially took over Grave's life, taking care of her dog and driving her car.

Layton is described as Novoa's boyfriend.

In mid-July, Novoa allegedly said his electricity was out and he needed to store a freezer in the basement of a friend's home in Campbell.
