Summer is almost here and that means many families are getting ready to take to the skies to reach their vacation destinations.
But some changes for travel and tech could be on the way.
The U.S. government is considering a ban on laptops to extend beyond some international flights to cover all international flights to and from the United States.
Kathy Panahish with Executive Tour and Travel joined WFMJ Weekend Today Saturday morning to weigh in on the trends in travel for the upcoming season.
She believes some families may think twice about flying if those restrictions are implemented.
"We are a society that we have all of the technology, we're accustomed to it," Panahish said.
"I can't imagine traveling without taking your laptop or your cellphone with you, so that's just something we're going to have to wait and see, it's going to be a difficult decision."
The ban would prevent passengers from bringing laptops, tablets and other devices in their carry-on bags.
The ban in place now only covers some 50 international flights per day from 10 cities, with the majority in the Middle East. It follows concerns surrounding terrorist attacks.
